Here is an opportunity I see very few deck companies taking advantage of in the manner that they could or should. Maybe because it is relatively new. Maybe few companies know about it. Or maybe it seems too difficult to implement (which it isn’t).

What I am taking about is drone-over videos i.e Using a drone to video a new deck installation or to create a before and after video. Here is an example so you can see more specifically what we’re discussing here.

You don’t need me to tell you how powerful video is online these days. When you’re selling a high-ticket item such as decks, roofing or landscaping you want video that reflects the quality of your work. Using a drone and shooting HD video can really give you that wow factor that you’re looking for.

Obviously, you can use your video on your site to increase the number of website visitors that turn into leads. But you can also use it as an ad for your business to generate hoardes of cheap traffic.

We’re in an interesting age now where Facebook is in a battle with Youtube (owned by Google) for dominance in the video market. As such, both outlets are offering really cheap advertising options when it comes to video.

Use your drone videos on either or both channels to demonstrate your deck-building skills and you’ll have both a unique video and a channel with tons of viewers and relatively little competition.
