About You |
| My name is Eric Haaranen and very briefly, I’d like to help you grow your already successful business.
Very few people have as much passion for marketing as I do. I blog about it, I bore my friends to death talking about it and of course, I tweet about it. I’ve even written a couple of books about marketing. The first is “Nice People Can Sell” and my latest is “Marketing in Vancouver: Insider Secrets to Successful Local Marketing.” How I Can Help YouEvery business wants better search engine rankings, more exposure and an increase in sales. Likewise, all businesses are looking for better and more cost effective ways of improving customer relationships and building brand-credibility. That is where I can come in. Everything that I do from a marketing perspective I do with an eye towards producing results. I measure results by the simplest means possible – profit. Money in vs. Money out. I see opportunity everywhere. I have already researched your company and I know that there are some areas in which I can produce significant and immediate results. The majority of what I do these days is online but that doesn’t mean that a simple Thank You card sent via snail mail won’t work as well. Nobody does this anymore and I think that is a shame. I believe that business is all about trust. People are very un-trusting by nature but they become very trusting very quickly if you do what you say you’ll do and you treat them right. All of your marketing should have components of trust-building in them. It is for this reason that I am such a big fan of online video. When your customers can watch a video of you and look you in the eye, you’re creating a personal relationship. They can get a sense for themselves what kind of a person you are and whether you know what you’re talking about. Fortunately, you’re an expert in your field and you know exactly what you’re talking about. Even more effective is leveraging social proof and getting video testimonials from your current happy customers. Everyone is leary about marketing and advertising these days but when your prospective customers see your current customers raving about you on video your credibility goes through the roof. Press releases are another one of my favourite forms of marketing. When third party news aggregators run your press release you can leverage their viewer base and crediblity. Along with the instant and long-term exposure, you can also quickly gain links back to your site. This is an excellent strategy if you have any interest in your search engine rankings. I believe that web video is the future but that doesn’t mean that words don’t sell. Good copy is critical to the success of any website or email campaign. I’ve studied some of the best copywriters and I incorporate their lessons into my work. But one caveat. I try to pursuade without pushing. It is a fine line to be sure. I’ve now written two marketing-related books and I honestly believe that every professional should write a book about his or her area of expertise. Nothing builds credibility faster or makes selling easier. If you’ve been thinking about writing your book but don’t have the time or simply don’t want to write it, I’ll be happy to ghost write it for you. Blogging is another trend that many businesses don’t leverage the way they could. Most businesses see a blog as a chore but I don’t. I see it as a tool through which a business can build deeper, more meaningful relationships. By allowing visitors to comment and interact on a blog, you can gain valuable market insight. With this knowledge you may want to create new products or tweak your existing services. I hope that you can see by this point that I’m quite serious about working with you. The only risk that you run is getting inundated with too many ideas. That is my Achilles heal. I’m always thinking about improving on what we’re doing and if you don’t have a passion for marketing this can drive you crazy. On the other hand, I do have the ability to shut up if the situation calls for it. |
Mobify is a leader in its field. You’re poised for rapid and long-term growth. You have a reputation for listening to your customers and treating them well.
You’re known as an innovator. You clearly see the potential of new technologies and you’re harnessing the power of the Internet to streamline your marketing and communications. You’re always open to new ideas that may allow you to strengthen your market position. You reward innovative thinking and allow for entrepreneurial drive within your organization. Afterall, it is new ideas and different approaches that will propel your business through these turbulent times of change. Change. Innovation. Results. Fun.These are all key terms that you embrace every day. You’re never stagnant. You know that resting on laurels or continuing to do things as they’ve always been done stopped working in the 80′s. Today’s global environment allows for greater opportunities. More customers, greater market share and more raving fans to embrace your solutions. You realize that marketing is changing. Mass advertising and traditional advertising avenues are going the way of the T-Rex. Yet in its stead social media, pay per performance and mobile marketing offer even bigger, better and more cost-effective opportunities. The web is also changing. Having a website isn’t enough anymore. You need to leverage social media and build a network for your brand. These online properties must produce tangible results. This means sales or sales leads generated at an acceptable cost per acquisition. Anything less is unacceptable. You’re InnovativeYour website can’t be static. Words can sell but only if they’re read. You see the value in using video to make sure your words get read, that your product is understood. You use video to educate your site visitors, to build personal relationships and to inspire trust. Trust is paramount. You get your raving fans to create video testimonials of your services and you use those videos on your site. Of course, you also distribute those same videos across social media sites to gain additional exposure and increase the number of links back to your website. You recognize the potential of mobile marketing. Yes, there are 1.5 billion computers connected to the Internet but there are over 5 billion web-enabled mobile devices through which you can also reach potential customers, partners and enablers. The opportunity for mobile-ready websites and especially pay per call marketing campaigns is mind-boggling. You know that search engine optimization is paramount to your long-term success. The greater the percentage of your traffic coming from organic listings and social media sites, the greater the value of your business as a whole. Paid advertising is great but the traffic stops when the funding stops. If your exit strategy is the sale of your online properties, SEO is a better alternative. However, these are not mutually exclusive. Both have their place. Your brand is strong enough to warrant press coverage and you want to leverage these channels. You know that online press releases not only aid in your search rankings but can get your the interviews or placements that can turn a few hours of work into a flood of business. Finally, you’re smart. You know that you can’t do everything yourself so you surround yourself with great people. These might be employees, suppliers or partners but you know that a group of experts working towards a single goal is infinitely more powerful than one person or one entity. .. |
