Dean Hunt: Killer

OK, maybe he’s not a killer but he does have killer bunnies running rampant on his blog. More importantly, DeanHunt.com offers killer content. If you have a blog and you want to get traffic you have to read Dean’s stuff.

I am hesitant to even mention his name because I’ve been dishing off a lot of Dean’s ideas as my own since I read his first report, “Web Traffic Orgasm” about six months ago. Whether you like the title or not, I’m guessing that a) you want to know more about it b) you’ll talk to your friends about it and c) you’ll remember it.

And that, my faithful reader, is what buzz marketing is all about. Enter Dean Hunt and his awesome report that leads you step-by-step towards your own traffic orgasm.

This is NOT another opt-in report where you hand over your email address in exchange for worthless and regurgitated Internet marketing tips from 1993 followed by an endless stream of affiliate offers via email.

Instead this report has some very unique ideas for generating buzz and attracting swarms of traffic to any website. It goes into minute detail about how to research a “link bait” piece and nine little tricks to follow to ensure you have your best shot at any article going viral. Believe me, these are not things that you would normally think of.

I particularly enjoyed the report because it really got into the psychology of readers (especially Digg.com readers) and what to include in headlines and content. If you apply these ideas to your own material on a regular basis, you should expect a piece or two to go viral. When that happens you’ll generate loads of immediate traffic and lots of juicy links that will point to your site for a good, long time.

While the report was well worth the price (free) I don’t know if I would have taken the time to blog about it. Like I said, I like coming across smarter than I am by passing these ideas off as my own. However, Dean recently published another free report called “Confessions of the Buzz Content Hustlers“.

Truth be known I wouldn’t have even read anything with such a name had I not been so impressed with Orgasm. But read it I did and impressed I was.

I’m not going to share any of the fantastic ideas contained in this second report. Instead, I’m going to tell you the effect that it had on me and my business.

When I first read Traffic Orgasm my main blog was about marketing. When Dean talked about how to get a buzz going with different topics I was thinking, “Man, there are other topics that I can write about that would be a hell of a lot more interesting (for me and my readers) and infinitely less competitive than marketing.”

The same thoughts were going through my mind when I read Confessions. Long story short, I read the report on a Thursday and that weekend I transferred over my best articles from my old blog (that had a pagerank of 3) onto my personal blog www.ehaaranen.com. This site was less than two months old and I had to totally revamp it to make it look presentable.

To clarify, I gave up that pagerank and those inbound links just so I would have more freedom to apply the ideas contained in these two reports.

If it had this kind of an impact on me, shouldn’t you check out what Dean and Barry say about buzz marketing too? You can get all of their reports for free at www.buzzprofits.com.
